MANHATTAN — A man was rescued after falling into a manhole in Greenwich Village Monday evening, officials said.
The man, who is in his late 30s, fell 10 to 12 feet into a manhole at Mercer and West 3rd streets about 7:45 p.m., the FDNY said.
Emergency responders pulled the man out and rushed him to Bellevue Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, the FDNY said.
The circumstances of the man's fall were not immediately clear.
