BAYSIDE — A 16-year-old student had a heart attack during an afternoon English class at his high school, an FDNY official said.
The 11th grade student collapsed during his class at Benjamin N. Cardozo High School at 57-00 223rd St. shortly before noon, according to the FDNY and the Department of Education.
The student was rushed to Long Island Jewish Hospital, fire officials said. His condition was not immediately available.
The school did not respond immediately for requests to comment.
