TOTTENVILLE — A Staten Island firefighter was arrested for allegedly bashing his wife in the head with an iPad after an argument over an online photo.

Eric Bischoff, 39, of Tottenville, was arrested on Tuesday for the Sunday incident and charged with assault, court records said.

On Sunday at around 12:40 a.m., Bischoff hit his wife in the head twice with the iPad, causing her head to swell up, the court records said.

Bischoff, the Staten Island trustee for the Uniformed Firefighters Association, then grabbed his wife by the hair and threw her to the ground, the records said.

The couple was arguing over an online photo the wife had just put online, the Daily News reported.

Bischoff, of Engine 161 in South Beach, was charged with second- and third-degree assault, and second-degree harassment.

He was released on his own recognizance with an order of protection Tuesday, according to the District Attorney's office.

Bischoff is due back in court on April 25.
