BEDFORD-STUYVESANT — Police are looking for a man who allegedly raped a Bedford-Stuyvesant woman outside of her home early Sunday morning.

The 23-year-old victim was outside of her house near Ralph Avenue and Decatur Street about 6:30 a.m. on Sunday when the suspect allegedly grabbed the woman by the neck, then robbed and raped her, police said.

The man allegedly then choked the woman before running away, police said.

Officers this week were canvassing the neighborhood handing out fliers with a sketch of the suspect, who police said was unknown to the victim.

Police described the suspect as between 5'6" and 5'8", about 180 pounds and in his 20s. He has a thin moustache, and was last seen wearing jeans, a dark waist-length jacket, blue sneakers and a black skullcap, police said.
