BEDFORD-STUYVESANT — A Brooklyn man was stabbed to death while trying to defend his cousin Thursday afternoon, cops said.

Orlando Houston's cousin summoned him to her apartment at 10 Lewis Ave. because she was fighting with another tenant there, according to the NYPD.

Houston, 41, and the other tenant got into a fist fight, cops said. The fight broke up briefly, but the other tenant returned some time later and the two resumed fighting in front of the building.

The other tenant, identified by police as Kyle Sylvester, 24, pulled a blade and plunged it into Houston's chest several times, cops said.

Bloodied and beaten, Houston stumbled to an apartment building around the corner, 878 Park Ave., where he collapsed in the lobby about 7 p.m., police said.

He was taken to Kings County Hospital Center and pronounced dead, cops said.

Sylvester was charged with murder and criminal possession of a weapon, police said.
