LOWER MANHATTAN — There will be lots of fun. at this summer’s new concert series at Hudson River Park’s Pier 26.

Hot on the heels of their Grammy award win, Pop-rock trio fun. are slated to perform on July 22 and July 23 at the TriBeCa pier, and might be adding a third show, Hudson River Park Trust president Madelyn Wils revealed Tuesday night.

"We're kind of thrilled because we ended up headlining with a Grammy award winner," Wils told the Community Board 1’s TriBeCa committee, "Actually I didn't know their music until I watched the Grammys last night."

The band, which took home the best new artist Grammy and song of the year award for pop anthem “We Are Young,” are scheduled to perform with opening act Teagan and Sara for the shows.

Wils said the Trust, which is working with Bowery Presents to put on the concert series, is being “sensitive” about which bands they choose to fill the rest of the slots in the series. She estimates there will be about eight concerts, all of which will not go past 10 p.m.

“We won’t be doing any electric artists,” said Wils. “No hip-hop either. I have nothing against those types of music, but we’re looking at more of a pop-type of culture.”

The American Express ticket pre-sale for the two currently scheduled fun. shows starts on February 14. General sale is February 16. Tickets are $42.50 in advance and $45.00 at the door.
