Katharine McPhee Loves NYC and Jenna Bush Resists Buying at Fashion Week

By Lisa Marsh | February 11, 2013 7:53am

LINCOLN SQUARE — Katharine McPhee is slowly becoming a New Yorker.

“I love it here,” she admitted as she attended Fashion Week. “Last year, when I moved here for the show ["Smash"], it probably took me six months to fall in love with living here.

“I think I’ll stay a while.”

She wore a low-cut blouse to Diane von Furstenberg’s show at the Lincoln Center, changing to a Zac Posen bolero pants suit for that designer’s show two hours later at the Plaza Hotel.

Also at Zac Posen’s show was model-turned-actress-turned-author Molly Sims, who is writing a book on how we can all be like supermodels.

“It’s called ‘The Everyday Supermodel’ and it’s going to tell you all the tricks of the trade — all the dirty little secrets that no one tells you,” she said.

The new mom told how her life had changed since starting a family.

“It’s juggling — a lot of juggling,” she said. “I always say it’s like a Christmas present that you unwrap every morning.”

Speaking of babies, a seven-month-pregnant Jenna Bush Hager took in the Lela Rose show at the Lincoln Center tents Sunday morning — but was there to look, not purchase.

“I’m not buying clothes,” she said. “I’m wearing things that I can still fit into.

"It’s a hard time to buy clothes. You don’t want to buy clothes for such a short period of time.”

Also making the rounds on Sunday were Jamie King at Lela Rose, Shay Mitchell and Holland Roden at DKNY, Angela Bassett at Tracy Reese, Chelsea Handler with boyfriend Andre Balazs at Diane von Furstenberg and Petra Nemcova and Julianne Moore at Tommy Hilfiger.
