HARLEM — A 30-year-old man died in a fire at a high-rise residential building on Fifth Avenue early Monday, officials said.

The victim was on the second floor of 1385 Fifth Avenue, a 20-story building at the Taft Houses at 116th Street, when the fire broke out about 4:15 a.m., the FDNY said.

Emergency responders discovered the man, whose identity has not been released, in apparent cardiac arrest when they arrived. He was rushed to Mount Sinai Hospital, where he died, according to the NYPD.
