NEW YORK CITY — A man was critically burned in a fire in The Bronx Saturday morning, which also left a firefighter seriously injured, fire officials said.
According to fire sources, the 50-year-old victim suffered burns to his hands and face in the fire at 150 W. 197th St. just after 7:20 a.m.\
He was rushed to Jacobi Hospital.
In the rescue effort, a firefighter suffered a compound fracture of his arm and another firefighter suffered minor injuries, the FDNY said.
The cause of the fire was under investigation.
