UPPER WEST SIDE — Subway service was delayed on the Upper West Side Thursday afternoon after a passenger became sick on a 1 train at the 96th Street station, the MTA said.
Service was disrupted at 11:35 p.m. after the unidentified straphanger fell ill, officials said.
The person's condition was not immediately known.
Northbound 1 trains were running express from Times Square to 96th Street, according to the MTA.
Riders also said there were delays on southbound 1 trains, too, from 137th Street to 96th.
Express 2 and 3 trains were not affected, the MTA said.
