Police Hunt Suspects For Bronx Gas Station Mugging

By Aidan Gardiner | February 5, 2013 8:14am

BELMONT — Cops are looking for two men they say mugged a gas station attendant in the Belmont section of the Bronx on Christmas Eve.

The two drove a black Honda Civic into the station located at 820 E. 182 St., near Southern Boulevard, about 5:20 p.m. on Dec. 24, 2012, according to NYPD.

Once there, the driver handed his passenger a handgun as he stepped out of the car, cops said.

The passenger then pointed his gun toward the gut of a nearby gas station attendant and demanded he hand over his cash, cops said.

When the unidentified victim complied, the passenger returned to the car and fled with his partner south on Southern Boulevard, police said.

Police believe the getaway car, which was missing both its front hub caps, was a late 1990s model Honda Civic.

The passenger may have been in his late 20s and was wearing a black jacket, blue hoodie, blue jeans, brown boots and a mask over his face, according to cops.

Police believe the driver was also male.
