UPPER EAST SIDE — Five people were hurt when an MTA bus crashed into a car on the Upper East Side Monday night, officials said.

The driver suffered a "medical episode" and lost control of the bus at Madison Avenue and East 85th Street shortly before 7:30 p.m., the NYPD and FDNY said.

Five people, including the driver, were rushed to New York-Presbyterian Hospital, the FDNY and NYPD said. Three had minor injuries and two had serious injuries, an FDNY spokesman said.

Police said no criminality was suspected.

The bus was a BxM18 headed to Riverdale, 1010 WINS reported.
