MORNINGSIDE HEIGHTS — The NYPD has released images of a suspect wanted for allegedly shooting a teenager in December.

The suspect got into a dispute with the victim, a 17-year-old boy, near 1345 Amsterdam Ave. on Dec. 30 about 11:30 p.m., according to the NYPD.

It wasn't immediately clear what sparked the argument.

The argument escalated, and the man opened fire on the teenager, striking him twice, police said.

The unidentified victim was taken to St. Luke's - Roosevelt Hospital Center, where he was treated and released, police said.

The suspect appears to be slim and was last seen wearing a black hoodie under a blue letterman jacket, according to security photos released by police.

The suspect discarded the jacket — which is emblazoned with the words "WL" and "Twentieth Annual Challenge" — after the shooting, cops said.
