RIDGEWOOD — A 7-year-old boy was struck and killed by an SUV in Queens Thursday evening, officials said.
The child — whom sources identified as Puran Thapa — was crossing Myrtle Avenue at Madison Street about 6:50 p.m. when a 2002 Toyota SUV traveling east on Myrtle Avenue slammed into him, the FDNY and NYPD said.
Puran was rushed to Wyckoff Heights Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead, police said.
The driver remained at the scene, and no criminality was suspected, the NYPD said.
