DUMBO — A 56-year-old man was struck and pinned by a car on Old Fulton Street on Wednesday afternoon, authorities said.

The man was hit by the vehicle near 60 Old Fulton Street and Front Street at 2:36 p.m., an FDNY spokesman said. The man was knocked unconscious by the accident and was rushed to Lutheran Medical Center in Sunset Park.

Employees at a nearby auto body shop said they saw police and emergency personnel racing to a spot where Old Fulton Street goes beneath a Brooklyn Bridge overpass, a busy area where traffic converges from several different directions.

No further details about his condition were immediately available.
