LOWER EAST SIDE — A young suspect has been arrested for his role in the shooting death of a 16-year-old teenager last week, cops said.

Timothy Montalvo, 16, was taken into custody in connection with the fatal shooting of Raphael Ward Friday night, sources said.

It was not immediately clear if Montalvo was the shooter. He was charged with murder and criminal possession of a weapon, police said.

Raphael was shot in the chest near a bodega across the street from the Baruch Houses complex where he lived.

Cops released surveillance footage Monday of four suspects whom they believed were responsible for Ward's murder.

The NYPD said the investigation was ongoing.

Hundreds of Raphael's friends and relatives poured into the Provenzano Lanza Funeral Home on Second Avenue Wednesday to mourn the teen, but the solemn event was marred by several fights that erupted outside.
