THE BRONX — A 59-year-old woman was shot dead in Soundview Thursday afternoon, police said.
The woman was found shot in the chest at 1790 Story Ave. just before 1 p.m., police said. She was unconscious and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police also found a 22-year-old woman who had been shot in the face, the NYPD said. She was rushed to Jacobi Medical Center in stable condition.
No one had been arrested as of late afternoon Thursday. The investigation was ongoing, police said.
