QUEENS — A man was seriously hurt after being struck by a vehicle while crossing the Belt Parkway Friday evening, fire officials said.

The incident happened at the Francis Lewis Boulevard exit of the parkway about 6:08 p.m., according to authorities.

The victim, who the FDNY said is in his 50s, was rushed to Jamaica Hospital Medical Center with serious injuries, officials said.

It was not immediately clear if the driver stayed at the scene.
