By Ben Fractenberg | December 6, 2012 7:14pm

GREENWICH VILLAGE — Police are looking for two women who allegedly stole two cell phones at the West 4th Street subway station last month.

The first incident happened on Nov. 26 just after 12:30 p.m. when the two suspects approached a 26-year-old woman, asked her what time it was and then slapped her phone out of her hand when she went to check, police said. They then picked up the phone and fled.

Then on Nov. 29 about 1 p.m. one of the suspects approached a 21-year-old woman from behind and held her arm while the second suspect snatched her phone, according to the NYPD.

Police described the suspects as 16-to-18-year-old women, each about 5-foot-5 and 110 pounds.

One was last seen wearing a blue jacket and a black and green scarf, while the other was wearing a black coat and pink shirt, police said.

Anyone with information regarding either incident is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477). You can also submit a tip by logging onto the Crime Stoppers website at www.nypdcrimestoppers.com or by texting your tips to 274637 (CRIMES) then entering TIP577.  All calls are strictly confidential.
