DYKER HEIGHTS — A 37-year-old Staten Island man was killed when he ran his bike into a turning  SUV on Friday night.

The motorcyclist, Hector Rivera, of Staten Island, was headed westbound on 65th Street at 7:06 p.m, police said.  That's when the driver of a Honda Pilot made a left turn on 13th Avenue, and Rivera went careening into the SUV, and wound up pinned underneath the vehicle.

EMS rescued Rivera, and he was rushed to Maimonides Medical Center, but was pronounced dead at the hospital.

No criminality was suspected of the Honda's driver, and an investigation was ongoing.
