Cops Seek Two Suspects in Possible Hate Crime

QUEENS — Cops are asking for the public's help to identify two suspects in a possible hate crime against a 70-year-old man near Flushing Meadows Park earlier this week.

The victim was in front of 109-25 46th Avenue in Corona on Sunday about 5:20 a.m. when two you men approached him and asked the man if he was Muslim or Hindu, according to the NYPD.

That's when they attacked him, leaving him with cuts on his face, police said.

The man, who has not been identified, was taken to Elmhurst Hospital Center, cops said.

Cops are investigating the assault as a hate crime.

The NYPD released a video Friday that shows two young men apparently running away from a scene.

The suspects are in their late teens or early 20s, police said. One of the men was wearing a light blue jacket, dark pants and dark shoes, while the other wore a dark jacket, grey sweatshirt, jeans and a light sneakers.
