UPPER WEST SIDE — A taste of Spain has arrived on the Upper West Side.

Two-star Michelin chef Manuel Berganza recently opened Andanada 141, a restaurant specializing in modern incarnations of traditional Spanish dishes, on West 69th Street near Broadway.

Berganza won Michelin acclaim as chef at Sergi Arola Gastro and La Broche in Madrid and is now bringing his native country's unique flavors to New York City.

"I like to work with flavors and tradition and interpret them into dishes that have people talking about the delicious taste as well as the clever presentation," Berganza said in a statement.

The menu at Andanada 141, which opened three weeks ago, includes Pate de Cabracho, a scorpion fish flan served with cauliflower foam and eggplant caviar, and Arroz Con Leche, rice pudding topped with cinnamon ice cream and crispy fried rice.

The restaurant is named for the highest tier of seating in a bullfighting arena, "known for attracting the liveliest, most enthusiastic fans as well as for providing a bird's-eye view of all the action," Alvaro Reinoso, a partner in the restaurant, said in a statement.

Andanada 141, 141 W. 69th St., is open seven days a week from 5 p.m. to midnight.
