BROOKLYN — An East Williamsburg man was arrested Thursday for the alleged rape of a 23-year-old woman in the lobby of her Greenpoint apartment building last week, the NYPD reported.

Laye Kaba, 31, was hit with a slew of charges, including rape, stalking, burglary, strangulation and sexual abuse.

He was arrested in his Porter Avenue about 1:30 p.m., police said.

Kaba allegedly followed the victim her into her apartment building and attacked her Saturday about 5:45 a.m., the NYPD stated. Surveillance video released after the alleged attack shows Kaba talking with the victim in the lobby of an apartment building. The pair did not know each other before the attack, a police source said.
