POMONOK — Cops are hunting a man they believe stabbed another man while spouting anti-Muslim comments outside a Queens mosque Sunday. 

The suspect approached the victim about 5 a.m. in front of the Masijid-Saaliheen Mosque at 72-55 Kissena Blvd. and repeatedly stabbed him in the chest while condemning Islam, according to the NYPD

The 57-year-old victim was taken to Boothe Memorial Hospital where he was listed in stable condition, police said. 

The victim was attacked while opening the doors to the mosque for morning prayer, according to the New York Post.

It was unclear if the incident was being investigated as a hate crime.

Police described the suspect as around 40-years-old, roughly 6 feet tall, about 180 pounds, with blue eyes and a light complexion. He was wearing a blue baseball cap, a black jacket, and blue jeans.
