Police Search for Suspect in Botched Williamsburg Bank Robbery

BROOKLYN — Cops are searching for a man suspected of trying to rob a Williamsburg bank Tuesday afternoon, police said.

The suspect, believed to be between 20 and 25 years old, passed a note to a bank teller demanding cash, but the teller did not comply, cops said. The man then fled on foot.

Police did not provide the exact address of the bank.

Authorities describe the suspect as between 5 feet 5 inches and 5 feet 7 inches tall with a slim build and a goatee.
