BEDFORD-STUYVESANT — Two men were shot in broad daylight on Tompkins Avenue Thursday afternoon, the NYPD said.
The victims were standing near Hancock Street just before 1 p.m. when an assailant approached them and opened fire, authorities said.
One of the victims was shot in the arm while the other man was struck in the shoulder, an FDNY spokesman said.
Both victims were taken to Kings County Hospital. Their injuries were not considered life-threatening, officials said.
The gunman, who was wearing a black hoodie, fled, police said.
It was unclear what sparked the shooting.
