PARK SLOPE — Two men decked out in Halloween masks allegedly roughed up and robbed a man in Park Slope, police said.

The 29-year-old victim, of Lindenhurst, N.Y., told police he was walking on Sterling Place between Fifth and Sixth avenues on Oct. 16 about 10:10 a.m. when two men approached him, one in a Freddy Krueger mask, the other in a "Scream" mask.

One of the men allegedly put the victim in a chokehold while the other snatched $418 in cash from the victim. The two masked bandits jumped into a black four-door vehicle and fled down Fifth Avenue, according to police. No arrests have been made.

The 78th Precinct has seen a 21.2 percent drop in robberies this year, with 119 robberies reported through mid-October, compared with 151 during the same period in 2011, according to NYPD statistics. Major crimes, including robbery, have dipped 4.9 percent during 2012 in the 78th Precinct, stats show.
