Man Fatally Struck by Train in Hamilton Heights, Causing Rush Hour Delays

HAMILTON HEIGHTS — A man was struck and killed by a 1 train early Monday, forcing major service disruptions during rush hour, officials said.

The unidentified man apparently jumped into the path of a southbound train at the 137th Street - City College subway station just after 5 a.m., the MTA said.

The NYPD does not suspect any criminality.

Service along the 1 train was temporarily disrupted, but was restored around 8 a.m., an MTA spokesperson said.
