Police Hunt for Subway Station Cellphone Thief

BROOKLYN — Police are looking for a man who stole a cellphone in the F train station at Fourth Avenue and Ninth Street in Park Slope.

The incident occurred on Sept. 25 around 2 p.m., when the suspect approached the 46-year-old victim and grabbed his cellphone.

Video taken at the station shows the suspect, who police said is in his 20s, jumping a subway turnstyle while fleeing the scene.

The suspect is described as about 6 feet tall and is shown wearing a red Elmo hoodie and shorts.
