NEW YORK CITY — Who says October isn't hot enough?

Beauties Elizabeth Hurley, Padma Lakshmi and Brooke Shields all stepped out at events across the city Monday night.

Hurley, dazzling in a shimmering top, kicked off Breast Cancer Awareness Month by opening the Estee Lauder Companies' Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign 20th Anniversary Exhibition at the GM Building.

"Top Chef" host Padma Lakshmi, remaining true to her foodie roots, turned up at the Nespresso Pop-up Cafe in Bloomingdale's for the launch of its newest espresso machine, while Brooke Shields attended the Drawing Center's Annual Auction at the Haunch of Venison gallery in Chelsea.

Also in Chelsea, the School of Visual Arts Theater premiered a new short film, "Keep Your Enemies Closer: Checkmate," by "Sopranos" actor Federico Castelluccio. Speaking of film, Mickey Sumner and Greta Gerwig were in the hot seat at the New York Film Festival's Live Talk at the Elinor Bunin Munroe Film Center discussing their newest feature, "Frances Ha."

Also out and about, Sherri Shepherd of "The View" turned up to support T.J. Holmes' debut on BET's "Don't Sleep," and Nate Berkus and Thom Filicia celebrated the City Modern opening at the New York Design Center.
