By Natalie Musumeci | September 27, 2012 7:55pm

EAST HARLEM — The NYPD is seeking the public’s help in tracking down the armed suspect who allegedly robbed a 31-year-old woman at gunpoint in her home earlier this week.

The woman was in the lobby of her East Harlem home about 7:45 p.m. Tuesday when a man grabbed her in a choke hold from behind, removed her belongings and whipped out his gun, cops said.

He then forced the woman to walk with him to a nearby ATM and withdraw cash, police said.

In a video released by the NYPD, the man is seen in a bodega surveillance video walking slightly behind the victim toward the back of the store.

The man fled the scene with the money, cops said.

Police described the suspect as 25 to 35 years old, 5-foot-7, 170 pounds, last seen wearing a yellow hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans.

Anyone with information in regard to this incident is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477).  The public can also submit their tips by logging onto the Crime Stoppers website at WWW.NYPDCRIMESTOPPERS.COM or by texting their tips to 274637 (CRIMES) then enter TIP577.
