The concert, traditionally on the first Sunday after Labor Day, was postponed in 2011 to honor the decade anniversary of 9/11.

This year's festivities are hosted by Kathie Lee Gifford, whose new musical "Scandalous: The Life and Trails of Aimee Semple McPherson," is set to debut this season. Previous hosts included Martin Short, Kelsey Grammer and John Lithgow.

The cast of "Scandalous," along with popular plays like "Once," "Mamma Mia!" and "Elf" will all performs songs from their shows.

However, the acclaimed "The Book of Mormon" will not participate in the concert.

The concert will start at 11:30 a.m. Sept. 9 in Times Square, from West 46th and 47th streets between Broadway and Seventh Avenue. Attendees are encouraged to arrive early.
