BROOKLYN — A 30-year-old man was shot and killed in Vinegar Hill Tuesday evening, officials said.

Jorge Robaina, who lived in Williamsburg, was shot multiple times in the torso at 237 Nassau St. near Navy Street just before 10 p.m., police said.

Robaina was taken to the Brooklyn Hospital Center, where he was pronounced dead, police said.

Robaina, who worked at a Cingular store in Downtown Brooklyn, had a longtime girlfriend and a 7-year-old child, the girlfriend’s mother, Nelly Santos, told DNAinfo.com New York.

Santos said Robaina was a good father and boyfriend who would go to the park with his family and go out dancing with his girlfriend.

“It was just love at first sight,” Santos said of their relationship.

“My God, why?” she added in Spanish.

Police said no arrests have been made, and the investigation is ongoing.
