BROOKLYN — A wheelchair bound man allegedly dowsed his 49-year-old daughter with acid Saturday, sending her screaming from his East New York apartment with burns on her head and face, the NYPD said.

Jerome Lynch, 69, reportedly poured a cup of drain cleaner over the woman's head about 1:40 p.m. as she sat in the living room of his apartment in the Boulevard Houses at 785 Schenk Ave., police and news sources said.

The victim, identified as Darlene Lynch by NBC New York and the New York Daily News, was in stable condition at New York Presbyterian Hospital.

Lynch, who claimed his daughter was abusing him, according to NBC and the Daily News, was charged with first-degree assault, police said.
