Police Hunt for Alleged Attackers in Brutal Staten Island Beating

ST.GEORGE — Police are searching for two men in connection with a brutal attack that left a man severely injured in Staten Island on August 30, 2012.

The NYPD released surveillance photos of two men wanted for questioning in regards to an assault that took place at 2:25 a.m. at the corner of Schuyler Street and Bay Street in St. George.

The two men allegedly approached the victim, 33, and beat him up, leaving him unconscious in the street, police said. The victim was then hit by a passing vehicle that was not involved in the assault, police said.

The victim was transported to Richmond University Medical Center in critical condition, police said.
