Sunglasses-Wearing Man Wanted for East Village Bank Robbery

EAST VILLAGE — Police are searching for a man who robbed a Chase Bank in the East Village Saturday, while wearing a pair of shades.

The man handed the teller a note around 12:40 p.m., got the cash and then fled the bank, located on Second Avenue and East 10th Street, police said.

He is described as between 20 and 30 years old, about 200 pounds and 5 feet 10 inches tall.

Besides the sunglasses, he was last seen wearing a Mark Ecko T-shirt, black shorts and black sneakers. He was also carrying a back Pullman suitcase.
