TIMES SQUARE — Broadway Week 2012 is back in New York City, with 2-for-1 tickets to nearly 20 of the city's musical hits like "Wicked," "The Lion King", "Bring It On" and many more.

Theater fans can snap up seats to "Jersey Boys," "The Gershwins' Porgy and Bess," and the 2011 Tony-award-winning"Once" online for performances between Sept. 4 through till Sept. 16.

To sweeten the deal, a ticket stub from a Broadway Week show can get you a free dessert at more than 25 Midtown restaurants including The Russian Tea Room, Shun Lee West, FireBird Restaurant and Sky Room Times Square.

"Broadway Week helps draw visitors to New York City and gives fans a reason to fill our theaters," George Fertitta, CEO of NYC & Company, said in a statement. "We encourage both visitors and New Yorkers to take advantage of this savings opportunity and experience some of the world's best entertainment."

The city's tourism website also announced the Broadway Week Sweepstakes where participants can win dinner for six and tickets to a Broadway show.
