QUEENS — A 22-year-old man was shot and killed in Ozone Park early Monday, police said.
The victim was shot in the face at the corner 80th Street and Rockaway Boulevard, the NYPD said.
"I heard four shots, 'Pop, pop, pop, pop,' and that was it," said Jackie Meissner, who lives nearby. "I don't come out when I hear four shots."
By the time cops arrived a few blocks away at 89th Street just after 3:45 a.m., the victim had been taken by private means to a local hospital, police said.
The man, whose identity has not been released, was pronounced dead.
No one has been arrested, police said, and the investigation is ongoing.
