NEW YORK CITY — The laid-off T-shirt designer who killed a former colleague outside the Empire State Building Friday tried to sell his art — featuring fast cars, pirate ships and scantily-clad women — on the web.

Jeffrey Johnson, 58, who gunned down Steven Ercolino on West 33rd Street, studed art  at Ringling College in Sarasota, Fla.

The Upper East Side resident featured and sold some work online at www.stjollytshirtart.com and www.stjollysart.com.

Johnson's illustrations could be downloaded for transfer to T-shirts, or could be purchased as prints, coffee mugs, or cards.
