Man Arrested in McDonald's Parking Lot Stabbing

THE BRONX — Police arrested a man for his alleged role in the stabbing death of Hansell Arias, 22, last weekend.

Javier Enger, 22, of The Bronx, was arrested Monday and charged with murder, manslaughter, and possession of a weapon.

A spokesman for the NYPD said Arias' death appeared to have been gang-related.

Family members said Arias was on his way to visit his fiancee when he was stabbed.

Enger allegedly approached Arias in the parking lot of a McDonald's at 1665 Webster Ave. at 2:13 a.m., and stabbed him in the chest. Arias was rushed to Lincoln Hospital, where he was declared dead upon arrival.

The victim's sister, Lisa Arias, 36, told DNAinfo.com New York her brother had high hopes, was planning on starting community college in the fall. Arias wanted to become a restaurant owner.

The victim's family could not be reached immediately for a response.
