QUEENS — A pedestrian and a passenger riding in a car were injured Friday after an accident involving several vehicles on Cross Bay Boulevard in Queens, authorities said.

A male pedestrian in his 20s was struck at 9:10 a.m. and a car overturned at the intersection of Cross Bay Boulevard and 161st Avenue, the FDNY said.

Three cars were involved in the smashup, and the collision left one woman pinned inside her vehicle, the FDNY said.

The extent of the victims' injuries was not immediately known. Both were transported to Jamaica Hospital, officials said.
