HUNTS POINT — A four-alarm fire destroyed a Bronx commercial laundry company early Monday morning, according to officials.

The fire department received a call about the blaze at around 3:03 a.m. and responded with 145 firefighters, a spokesman said.

The fire, at Miron and Sons Linen Service, at 220 Coster St. in Hunts Point, was under control by 6:24 a.m., the spokesman said, but firefighters were still working to completely extinguish the blaze into the late morning.

"Right now the building is in danger of collapse and we're just going to continue putting water on it and getting the pockets of fire," said Chief Domenic Caleri.

"We're going to do this until it's totally out, which we expect to be all day."

The building was unoccupied, fire officials said, and there were no civilian injuries.

Twelve firefighters were transported to nearby hospitals with minor injuries.
