QUEENS VILLAGE — A 58-year-old man suffered a fatal heart attack after his emotionally disturbed wife allegedly attacked him in their 215th Street home, police said Tuesday.

Harish Somaya had bruises on his face, allegedly at the hands of his 38-year-old wife, when cops were called to the couple's home at 89-01 215th St. at 6:36 p.m. Monday, police said.

Somaya was initially coherent but suddenly went into cardiac arrest, police said.

Paramedics rushed him to Queens General Hospital to treat the heart attack. He was pronounced dead there a short time later, police said.

His wife, Jessica Somaya, was taken into police custody and is facing assault charges, police said. There could be additional charges of homicide, a police source added.

The investigation is ongoing.
