CROWN HEIGHTS — An out-of-control car struck a stroller and injured a child on Brooklyn Avenue Friday, police and witnesses said.

Two cars were traveling south on Brooklyn Avenue when about 11:40 a.m. the vehicle in the right lane tried to cross traffic to make a left turn at Empire Boulevard, cops at the scene said.

The cars collided, and one of the vehicles careened onto the the curb. That's when it struck a mother's carriage, police said.

A witness at the scene said there were two children involved. One small child was riding inside the stroller, pushed along by an older child was riding the back of the stroller, on the wheels.

The older child was hurt, said the witness, Abraham Slavin of Klein's Grocery.

"His face was bloody and he was crying," Slavin said.

Emergency responders arrived at the scene, and the child was transported to Kings County Hospital.

Police said the child was in stable condition.
