CLAREMONT VILLAGE — A young man was injured in a shooting on Vyse Avenue on Thursday afternoon, authorities said.
The man, whose exact age wasn't immediately available, was shot in the leg about 2:35 p.m. near 1661 Vyse Ave. and East 173rd Street, an FDNY spokeswoman said.
The shooting victim's injuries were not serious, fire officials said. He was taken by ambulance to Saint Barnabas Medical Center.
The NYPD did not immediately have details on the shooting.
