QUEENS — Rapper 50 Cent was rushed to a Queens hospital early Tuesday after his bulletproof SUV was rear-ended by a truck on the Long Island Expressway, according to his publicist and published reports.

The rapper, whose real name is Curtis Jackson, was put in a neck brace and taken away on a stretcher before dawn after his SUV nearly flipped over on an Eastbound lane of the LIE near the Van Wyck Expressway, according to the FDNY, his website and his press rep.

“Curtis '50 Cent' Jackson was involved in a car accident in New York early Tuesday morning," a representative for Jackson said in a statement.

"He was taken to New York Hospital Queens where he was treated for minor neck and back injuries. He was released this morning and is doing fine.”

The rapper's website Thisis50.com, posted a note at 3 a.m. Tuesday saying: “He was put on a stretcher and taken to the nearest Queens hospital where they are currently running tests on his neck and back.”

The website posted images of the crash and the rapper being taken away on a stretcher.

The site added that the truck driver reportedly told police that his load shifted and he lost control of the vehicle.
