EAST HARLEM — A girl was injured after being struck by a vehicle Thursday morning, officials said.
The victim, whose age wasn't immediately released, was hit by the vehicle at East 104th Street and Fifth Avenue at 8:50 a.m., FDNY officials said.
"It was reversing," Errol Scott, who works at the nearby City Museum, said, adding that the vehicle was a silver Mercedes SUV.
Scott said the girl seemed to be crossing the street with an adult when the car backed into her.
"She was knocked down," he added. "She had some scratches on her face, but that was all."
The girl, whose identity was not released, was taken to St. Luke's Hospital, according to fire officials.
Her condition was not immediately known.
The NYPD did not immediately have any information about the accident.
