QUEENS — A 20-year-old man was gunned down on a Jamaica street late Monday night, the NYPD said.
Charles Jones, of 212th Street in Queens Village, was shot once in the head at 104-45 164th St., police said.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
"My daughter woke me up and told me a guy is dead in the front," said Rebecca Thomas, who just moved into the neighborhood a month ago. "I had heard a gunshot like after 11:00 and then I heard talking outside."
The incident remains under investigation.
No one has been arrested.
Jones, who has a lengthy arrest record, was on parole until 2014 for a criminal possession of controlled substance charge, sources said.
