BROOKLYN — Police are searching for a man suspected of attacking and robbing a woman at her Williamsburg home early last month.

The suspect approached the 34-year-old victim as she was entering her Williamsburg home about 4:05 a.m. May 2 and started hitting the woman before throwing her to the ground and stealing her pocketbook, police said. He then fled the scene, cops added.

The attacker is described as in his 30s, standing between 5-foot-9 and 5-foot-11, and last seen wearing a long-sleeve white shirt and baseball hat.
