Man Burglarizes Greenpoint Apartment in Broad Daylight

BROOKLYN — Police are searching for a man who brazenly burglarized a Greenpoint apartment Thursday afternoon, the NYPD reported.

The man scaled a fire escape and climbed through an apartment window at 540 Driggs Ave. at about 1 p.m., police said. He fled when the apartment's resident discovered him in the kitchen.

The suspect was described as apparently 35 years old, 5'7" and 180 pounds, police stated.

The burglar climbed a fire escape then entered the apartment through a window, according to police.
